SOUNDCHECK JAMS
Surfdog Records and Banding Together team up to host Soundcheck Jams, a unique program that gives individuals with special needs the opportunity to shine onstage during a nationally touring band's sound check at a local music venue. Through this partnership, Soundcheck Jams have engaged 26 touring musicians and 80 individuals with special needs.
Participating musicians have included Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks, The English Beat, Elvin Bishop, Michael Franti, Shaun White (Olympic gold medalist and guitarist), G.Love & Special Sauce, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Ozomatli and Grammy award-winning Ziggy Marley.
More than 150 professional musicians have participated in our programs and fundraisers.
